Takhini Hot Springs Update - February 2021

Takhini Hot Springs will be reopening under a new name in mid 2021 (stay tuned for the official announcement!). This new world-class facility will put the Yukon firmly on the world map of great hot springs. It will combine authentic Japanese Onsen pools with a Nordic-style Spa.

The facility will include several saunas, two steam rooms, four relax rooms, ample outdoor deck areas, outdoor showers, a “club mud” and several authentic Japanese hot pools filled with unadulterated artesian-sourced thermal springs water. This is the first phase of a larger redevelopment of the hot springs area.

The Hot Spring’s famous hair freezing contest will be back next winter starting after October 30th, 2021. The contest will be open all winter until the winners are selected around mid-March 2022.
