Tr'ondëk-Klondike inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List

The Tr’ondëk-Klondike, located in Canada’s northwestern Yukon Territory, has been officially inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, joining Kluane National Park and Reserve as the Yukon’s second UNESCO World Heritage Site and becoming the Yukon's first cultural World Heritage site.

Carmacks, Yukon and Carmacks Development Corporation (“CDC”) and Northern Vision Development LP (“NVD”) are pleased to announce their plan to jointly acquire the Carmacks Hotel Ltd. on June 30, 2022.
This summer will marked a uniquely Yukon milestone, with the serving of the 100,000th Sourtoe Cocktail at the Downtown Hotel, a Coast Hotel, in Dawson City.
The Midnight Sun Hotel in Dawson City re-opened in May 2022 after an extensive renovation. Visitors to Dawson City now have another boutique accommodation option in the heart of town.
EPIC North Tour Experiences are offering a more enjoyable van experience on some of their small group tours with their new Mercedes Sprinter 4x4. The vehicle will be used for their summer tours on the Dempster Highway as well as their famous Aurora Hunting tours in winter. A new way to camp in 2022 – new fees, rules and online payment option

Starting May 1st, individuals will be able to pay online for daily campground permits that can be used at all Yukon Government road-accessible campgrounds. Pre-paid paper permits will also be available from vendors.
One of the Yukon’s premiere attractions, the Yukon Wildlife Preserve is the only facility of its kind North of 60. Visitors can get up close and personal with some of the north’s most iconic species including moose, lynx, caribou, musk ox and sheep. The animals are protected and cared for but free to roam their natural habitat in this largely untouched wilderness area.
The Yukon’s Northern Vision Development LP (NVD) has announced plans to construct a 100-room Hyatt Place hotel in Whitehorse. NVD is developing the project and will also manage the hotel.
Lumel Studios is a glass blowing studio in downtown Whitehorse, co-located with Gather Cafe and Taphouse, a small eclectic restaurant.
